Floating Wheels - Construction

The Floating Wheel Fender unit consists of two or more wheels mounted on a single axle, free to rotate independently with the complete unit floating on or about half immersion.

Floating Wheel Fenders were originally designed for oil tankers as a ship to ship fender however, the unit is now more widely used in ship to quay installation.

The Fender is ideally suited to berths where a wide tidal range is encountered during loading or where a ship to quay clearance has to be maintained.
These units are designed and manufactured using only quality materials to ensure that they have a long and trouble-free life span when installed in exposed locations.
